INFORMATION


Training Course Information
Both training courses split into two modules consisting of theory and the practical applications of that theory when training athletes or clients, an optional 1-day intensive workshop (advanced CV only) and an optional online exam.

i) Theory
The theory section provides in-depth knowledge for each subject. Only by understanding how the body responds to CV training can you successfully coach and train cleints.

ii) Practical Application
This section covers delivering the latest techniques and most effective CV training strategies possible. This will ensure your clients and athletes get the maximum benefits from the training in the quickest possible time.

iii) One-day Workshop (Advanced CV Training only)
All attendees to the workshop will receive a VO2 max or sub-max exercise test. This is usually done on an indoor stationary bike (spinner) or cardio bike. This will give you your accurate, individual training zones for maximum fat burning, lactate threshold and RQ1. It takes all the guess-work out of calculating your zones and you will be able to compare your predicted results against your measured results. This knowledge and experience will be invaluable when setting training zones for your clients and athletes. In addition, you will also get your VO2 max score (absolute and relative VO2).

iv) Online exam
The examination is optional and consists of 100 multiple choice questions to be completed in 1 hour. There are 3 pass grades:

a) Pass 75-80%
b) Merit 81-86%
a) Distinction 87%+

There are no limits to the number of re-sits with each re-sit costing £15.00
